I usually don’t do weddings, but I made an exception for my cousin’s wedding reception this past weekend. They had a small wedding earlier and chose to have a huge wedding reception later. The backyard had been turned into a beautiful tropical paradise for the reception. They had out done themselves with tinkling lights all over the place. I had fun photographing the happy couple and their families.
Doesn’t Liza make a beautiful bride? (Mom made her lovely wedding dress!)
Their first dance together!
My son thought the groom’s cake was way cool!
Mr Personality

I just love how a person’s personality shines through even when they are little. I can already tell that this little one is going to keep Mom and Dad laughing. He was good during the session, but wouldn’t fall completely asleep because he had to see what was going on. His facial expressions during the session were priceless!
Having Fun with Silhouttes

Lately, I have been having fun with silhouttes. And I don’t seem to be the only one. Have you seen the latest Pottery Barn Kids catolog? It is just full of silhouttes. Cute, cute, cute!!! I had a maternity session last weekend with a cute Mom and family, so of course, I played around with shooting silhouttes.
Just so you know that I didn’t only shoot silhouttes, here is a cute one of the entire family!

Littlest Heros Project – Grace Goad
September 8th, 2008 ~ Uncategorized
I have recently started volunteering for a wonderful organization – The Littlest Heros Project. It is a non-profit based organization made up of professional photographers nationwide that provide free photo sessions to our nations Littlest Heroes. This is our way of giving back and taking a stand for these children who sometimes feel forgotten because of their illnesses. We are here to let them know that they are heroes to many, and to share their inspirational stories and photos with the world.
My first littlest hero is Grace Goad. She is a beautiful 14 year teenager who has autism. However, she doesn’t let this get in her way in expressing herself. She is a very talented and accomplished artist. Check out her website for some wonderful examples of her work. What I found so wonderful about Grace is her relationship with her Mother. Grace is not shy about expressing her feelings, especially her love for her Mom. I tried to capture a little of this in my photographs.
Grace is my hero. Here are a few images from the session.
