DPC(Downtown Presbyterian Church) and SNAP (Society of Nashville’s Artistic Photographers) present “Summer,” a photography show – The capture of a moment in time through light; this is the essence of photography. How someone chooses to catch this light is a decision based on experience, equipment, and is a personal and creative process. SNAP has been invited by the DPC to share some captured light with you, and we’d love it if you could come!
The photography show will incorporate a diverse selection of printing and camera methods, photographic subjects, and photographers. We will be featuring the work of Laura Carpenter, Denny Adcock, Kay Ramming, Eric Denton, Martha Smith, Nicholas Dantona as well as other SNAP members, including myself.

These two cuties came over this weekend for their 6 months session. I just love how their two distint personalities are shining through – Mr Clay is oh so serious and Mr Will is oh so happy.

The Last Image

This was the very last image of this session and it is my favorite from this fun family. What is neat about it is that this “pose” was thought up by the oldest girl. Great idea. I need to hire her to be my assistant!!

Senior Session

John Fielding was such a great sport during this session at his home place. I know it wasn’t the best of conditions with the heat and humidity of a Middle Tennessee summer, but he held up well and didn’t complain. With images we got, it was well worth the discomfort. John, thanks for working with us!

Mother and Child

I admit it, I’m such a sucker for Mother and child images. I love looking at them and I love taking them. So when I saw this image while downloading today’s session, and it took my breath away, I just had to share. (It also doesn’t hurt when Mom is beautiful and the little one is a handsome guy. I just love his hair!!)
