Heartache to Hope – The Fathers

August 18th, 2009 ~  Uncategorized

Now that the kids are back in school, I have more time to focus on the Heartache to Hope: Middle Tennessee Families Living with Autism project that Leisa Hammett and I are working on.  I am once again humbled and honored that each family gave me permission to photograph them so Leisa can tell their story.  While I love Mother and child images and can shoot them all day - I was thrilled that I was able to do some Father and child images for this project.  Here are a few of the Father and son images that took my breath away.

Glamorous Maternity

August 15th, 2009 ~  Uncategorized

Last week, I did a studio maternity session with my friend Barbie of a beautiful Mom-to-be, Amanda, who is also a talented photographer.  With a face like hers, she should be in front of the camera and not behind it.  Amanda was gracious to let us use her studio and her wonderful red couch for the session.  Barbie and I were so tempted to take the couch home with us, but it wouldn’t fit in the car.  LOL

Who says that a maternity portrait has to only be about the belly?  Just look at the glow in her face.  Beautiful!
