HopeHouse International

February 4th, 2010 ~  Uncategorized

Today, my friend Deneen Turner, the president and founder of HopeHouse International, brought over several beautiful pieces of artwork for me to photograph.  I feel in LOVE with each and every one of the pieces.  And the amazing thing about the artwork is that they were created by children, orphans from the Ukraine.

HopeHouse International exists so that orphans can become adopted … by assisting Ukrainian Christian couples with adequate housing thus making the adoption of orphans possible.  They are celebrating their 10 year anniversary this year and in a few weeks are having a celebratory dinner fundraiser.  As part of the evening’s activities, these pieces of art work will be on sale with all the proceeds to benefit HopeHouse International.  Check out their website – www.hopehouseinternational.org.

I just have to share some of the pieces of artwork with you.  It was so hard to choose just a few to share, but here are four that caught my eyes:

This piece reminds me of an impressionist Monet painting.  Just look at the detail captured, down to the teddy bear the child in the painting is holding.  Stunning!

This one just takes my breath away and is probably my favorite of the bunch.

This image reminds me of a beautiful piece of stain glass.

I can’t help but be amazed at the creativity of this piece of artwork. The perspective of the image is like looking at a fish-eye lens of a camera. How creative and unique.
