I meet one of my favorite models downtown last week for a classic ballerina session. I took mostly B&W film shots (yes, I still use that old stuff) but I had to take just a few digital images. I can’t wait to play around in the darkroom with the images captured on film and I’ll share once I have some printed, but until then, here are a couple of the images captured using my newfangled digital camera! LOL

From Heartache to Hope

I am so excited about the project I am currently working on. I am collabrating with writer, Leisa Hammett, to produce a book documenting the stories of families living with autism. The working title is “From Hearthache to Hope: Stories of Middle Tennessee Families with Autism”. We will be working with several families in the Middle Tennessee area to share their stories. Leisa will be working the families to help tell their stories and I will be photographing them. The plan is to photograph the families and gather their stories in May. Our goal is to have the book published the fall. Here is a sneak peek at what we are envisioning for the book. This is actually my cousin’s son, Jeremy, who has autism. I just love how this family’s love for each other came through in the session.
